Eat delicious = Not Healthy? - bellow the culinary myths

Maybe everyone thinks that a graduate majoring in food and nutrition, especially graduates of foreign universities, the automatic is a nutrition expert, entities, such as catwalk models and fanatical adherents, of course, life styles and eating healthy. Not to mention the questions about health, food, nutrition and diet that we have always received.

Controlling Oily Hair

Saint John's Wort Herbs

Saint John’s wort has long been used for medicinal purposes in the treatment of neuralgia, a painful nerve disorder. This perennial can grow up to 3 feet tall during its 6-year lifespan, taking on a dense shrub-like appearance. It’s flowers are yellow and have 5 petals each. As it is a common and legal herbal remedy for many different minor illnesses.

Here's an instruction how to grow Saint John's Wort Herbs :

  1. Step 1

    Begin the growing process in early spring, or late winter if you live in a sub-tropical climate. Speed germination by soaking the seeds in warm water for 20 minutes.

  2. Step 2

    Fill the foam cups with equal measures of peat and perlite to make a growing medium.

  3. Step 3

    Punch holes in the bottom and sides of the cups to ventilate them.

  4. Step 4

    Push 1 Saint John's wort seed into each cup and douse them with water.

  5. Step 5

    Stretch plastic wrap tightly over the tops and hold the wrap in place with rubber bands.

  6. Step 6

    Place the cups in a windowsill that receives full sunlight throughout the day and leave them for 2 weeks. The seeds should germinate after 6 days and grow enough to be safely transplanted by the end of the second week.

  7. Step 7

    Prepare a spot in your yard or garden to plant the seedlings. It should be on high ground that receives partial shade each day. Dig a trench 1 foot deep, 1 foot wide, and roughly 6 inches long for each seedling you intend to plant.

  8. Step 8

    Put all the dirt in a wheelbarrow and mix it up well with organic manure and plain sand to help lighten the soil and dry it out. Don’t worry about adding too much sand, the more the better.

  9. Step 9

    Put half of the contents of the wheelbarrow back into the trench and level out the bottom so that it’s only half as deep as it originally was.

  10. Step 10

    Break the cups away from the peat and perlite growing medium, placing the seedlings and medium into the trench, lightly filling the trench up to be level with the surrounding earth.

  11. Step 11

    Water the soil and Saint John’s wort well to pack the soil back down.

  12. Step 12

    Water the herbs twice a week and fertilize them once every 2 weeks. You should be able to harvest the leaves by mid July if you wish, or simply remove them as they are needed any time after that.

Grab a quickie in a public place, like in the car in the back of a mall parking lot (just keep your clothes on) or a unisex bathroom stall. Many sex guides, my published books included, give instructions for Kegel exercises to strengthen the PC muscles. Really, they are essential for men as well as women!

Kegels are the absolute bottom-line requirement for good sex. You will have stronger, more intense orgasms. Women will have better control of his penis during intercourse—

and can do some amazing tricks by squeezing and releasing the PC muscle around his shaft. If you aren’t already practicing these exercises, start now

Locate the pubococcygeus (PC) muscle, part of the pelvic .oor in both sexes, by stopping and starting the .ow of urine. Then start with:

a short kegel squeeze. Contract the muscle twenty times at approximately one squeeze per second. Exhale gently as you tighten only the muscles around your genitals (which includes the anus), not the muscles in your buttocks. Don’t bear down when you release. Simply let go. Do two sets twice a day. Gradually build up to two sets of seventy-.ve per day.

Then add:

a long kegel squeeze. Hold the muscle contraction for a count of three. Relax between contractions. Work up to holding for ten seconds, relaxing for ten seconds. Again start with two sets of twenty each and build up to seventy-.ve. You will be doing three hundred repetitions a day of the combined short and long and be ready to add:

The push-out. After releasing the contraction, push down and out gently, as if you were having a bowel movement with your PC muscle. Repeat gently. No bearing down. Now create Kegel sequences that combine long and short repetitions with push-outs. After a month of daily repetitions of three hundred, you should have a well-developed PC muscle and can keep it that way by doing one hundred .fty sets several times a week. And consider erotic weight lifting. Weights designed to exercise the PC muscles are available in sex toy shops and catalogs. The most common varieties are smooth eggs in

varying sizes made of polished wood or smooth stone, and tiny barbells. Using your PCs, you pull the weights into the vagina and push them back out again. Follow the directions accompanying the weights.

Testicular Cancer

What is testicular cancer?

Testicular cancer is a disease that occurs when abnormal cells in the testicles (testes) begin to grow in an uncontrolled manner.

The testes are the two male sex organs that produce and store sperm. The testes also produce testosterone, a male hormone. They are located in a pouch below the penis called the scrotum.

Testicular cancer is most common among white males and is considered uncommon in men of African and Asian descent. 1 Although rare, testicular cancer is the most common form of cancer in men between the ages of 20 and 34. 2 It is considered to be among the most curable types of cancer, especially when it is detected at an early stage.



Cause

The exact causes of testicular cancer are unknown. However, several conditions may increase your chances of developing testicular cancer, including: 1, 3

* An undescended testicle (cryptorchidism), which occurs when the testes do not descend from the abdomen into the scrotum. Normally, the testes descend into the scrotum before the male fetus is born or during the first 3 months of infancy.
* Infertility.
* Klinefelter syndrome. Klinefelter syndrome is a genetic disorder that affects males. Normally, males have one X and one Y chromosome; males with Klinefelter syndrome have at least two X chromosomes and, in rare cases, as many as three or four.
* A family history of testicular cancer.

While these factors have been shown to increase the risk of testicular cancer, most men who get testicular cancer do not have any of them.

Some doctors recommend that men between the ages of 15 and 40 perform a monthly testicular self-examination (TSE). Others do not believe a monthly TSE is necessary for men who are at average risk of developing testicular cancer. Monthly TSEs may be recommended for men at high risk of developing testicular cancer, including those who have one or more of the above risk factors. If you have increased risk, you should see your health professional regularly for testicular examinations because painless changes in the testes may go unnoticed during a self-examination.

Exams and Tests

Most abnormalities of the testes are found during a self-examination or routine physical exam by a health professional. If testicular cancer is suspected, your health professional may want to perform other tests, including:

* Testicular ultrasound. This test may be used to rule out other possible causes of an enlarged or painful testicle before the testicle is removed. Ultrasound is a test that uses reflected sound waves to produce an image of organs and other structures in the body. Unlike many other imaging tests, an ultrasound does not use X-rays or other types of possibly harmful radiation.
* Blood tests, which are often performed in order to measure the levels of tumor markers in your blood. Tumor markers are substances that appear in your bloodstream if cancer is present. Tumor marker levels are monitored at all stages of treatment for testicular cancer.

If the testicular ultrasound and blood tests suggest testicular cancer, a doctor will surgically remove your affected testicle. This procedure, called an orchiectomy, is done to confirm a diagnosis of testicular cancer. Following orchiectomy, a pathologist will examine tissue from the testicle under a microscope (biopsy). If cancer is found, you may have other imaging tests to see whether your cancer has spread beyond the testes, including X-rays, CT scans, or MRI scans of the abdomen, chest, and head.

Ongoing exams and tests

During your treatment for testicular cancer, your health professional will schedule a thorough follow-up program to monitor your recovery, especially if you participate in a watchful waiting (or surveillance) program after your initial treatment. These exams and tests may continue for several years following your treatment. In addition to physical exams, your specific follow-up program may include:

* Periodic imaging tests such as chest X-rays or CT scans.
* Blood tests to monitor the levels of tumor markers in your blood. Tumor marker levels that are stable or increasing may indicate the presence of additional cancer.

Early detection

Testicular self-examination (TSE) may detect testicular cancer at an early stage. Many testicular cancers are first discovered by self-examination as a painless lump or an enlarged testicle.

Some health professionals recommend that men between the ages of 15 and 40 perform monthly testicular self-examination. However, this is controversial. Many health professionals do not believe monthly TSE is necessary for men who are at average risk of developing testicular cancer. Monthly TSE may be recommended for men who are at high risk of developing testicular cancer. This includes men with a history of an undescended testicle or a family or personal history of testicular cancer.

Prevention

There are no proven ways to prevent testicular cancer. However, the following steps may increase the possibility of finding early-stage testicular cancer, when it is most likely to be curable.

* Perform regular testicular self-examinations (TSE). Most cases of testicular cancer are discovered during a self-examination or by a health professional during a routine physical.
* Be aware of any pain or discomfort in your scrotum, pelvis, or lower back. If you have any discomfort in these areas, see your health professional as soon as possible.

Hand washing: A simple way to prevent infection

Hand washing is a simple habit — one that requires minimal training and no special equipment. Yet it's one of the best ways to avoid getting sick. This simple habit requires only soap and warm water or an alcohol-based hand sanitizer — a cleanser that doesn't require water. Do you know the benefits of good hand hygiene and when and how to wash your hands properly?
The dangers of not washing your hands

Despite the proven health benefits of hand washing, many people don't practice this habit as often as they should — even after using the bathroom. Throughout the day you accumulate germs on your hands from a variety of sources, such as direct contact with people, contaminated surfaces, foods, even animals and animal waste. If you don't wash your hands frequently enough, you can infect yourself with these germs by touching your eyes, nose or mouth. And you can spread these germs to others by touching them or by touching surfaces that they also touch, such as doorknobs.


Infectious diseases commonly spread through hand-to-hand contact include the common cold, flu and several gastrointestinal disorders, such as infectious diarrhea. While most people will get over a cold, the flu is much more serious. Some people with the flu, particularly older adults and people with chronic medical problems, can develop pneumonia. The combination of the flu and pneumonia, in fact, is the seventh leading cause of death among Americans.

Inadequate hand hygiene also contributes to food-related illnesses, such as salmonella and E. coli infection. According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, as many as 76 million Americans contract a food-borne illness each year. Of these, about 5,000 die as a result of their illness. Others experience the annoying symptoms of nausea, vomiting and diarrhea.
Proper hand-washing techniques

Good hand-washing techniques include washing your hands with soap and water or using an alcohol-based hand sanitizer. Antimicrobial wipes or towelettes are just as effective as soap and water in cleaning your hands but aren't as good as alcohol-based sanitizers.

Antibacterial soaps have become increasingly popular in recent years. However, these soaps are no more effective at killing germs than are regular soap and water. Using these soaps may lead to the development of bacteria that are resistant to the products' antimicrobial agents — making it even harder to kill these germs in the future. In general, regular soap is fine. The combination of scrubbing your hands with soap — antibacterial or not — and rinsing them with water loosens and removes bacteria from your hands.

Proper hand washing with soap and water
Follow these instructions for washing with soap and water:

* Wet your hands with warm, running water and apply liquid or clean bar soap. Lather well.
* Rub your hands vigorously together for at least 15 seconds.
* Scrub all surfaces, including the backs of your hands, wrists, between your fingers and under your fingernails.
* Rinse well.
* Dry your hands with a clean or disposable towel.
* Use a towel to turn off the faucet.

Proper use of an alcohol-based hand sanitizer
Alcohol-based hand sanitizers — which don't require water — are an excellent alternative to hand washing, particularly when soap and water aren't available. They're actually more effective than soap and water in killing bacteria and viruses that cause disease. Commercially prepared hand sanitizers contain ingredients that help prevent skin dryness. Using these products can result in less skin dryness and irritation than hand washing.

Not all hand sanitizers are created equal, though. Some "waterless" hand sanitizers don't contain alcohol. Use only the alcohol-based products.

To use an alcohol-based hand sanitizer:

* Apply about 1/2 tsp of the product to the palm of your hand.
* Rub your hands together, covering all surfaces of your hands, until they're dry.

If your hands are visibly dirty, however, wash with soap and water rather than a sanitizer.
When should you wash your hands?

Although it's impossible to keep your bare hands germ-free, times exist when it's critical to wash your hands to limit the transfer of bacteria, viruses and other microbes.

Always wash your hands:

* After using the bathroom
* After changing a diaper — wash the diaper-wearer's hands, too
* After touching animals or animal waste
* Before and after preparing food, especially before and immediately after handling raw meat, poultry or fish
* Before eating
* After blowing your nose
* After coughing or sneezing into your hands
* Before and after treating wounds or cuts
* Before and after touching a sick or injured person
* After handling garbage
* Before inserting or removing contact lenses
* When using public restrooms, such as those in airports, train stations, bus stations and restaurants.

Kids need clean hands, too

You can help your children avoid getting sick by insisting that they wash their hands properly and frequently. To get kids into the habit, teach by example. Wash your hands with your children and supervise their hand washing. Place hand-washing reminders at children's eye level, such as a chart by the bathroom sink for children to mark every time they wash their hands. Tell your children to wash their hands for as long as it takes them to sing their ABCs, "Row, Row, Row Your Boat" or the "Happy Birthday" song. This works especially well with younger children, who may rush when washing their hands.

Older children and adolescents also can use alcohol-based hand sanitizers. Younger children can use them, too — with an adult's help. Just make sure the sanitizer has completely dried before your child touches anything. This will avoid ingestion of alcohol from hand-to-mouth contact. Store the container safely away after use.

Hand washing is especially important for children who attend daycare. Children in daycare are at greater risk of gastrointestinal diseases, which can easily spread to family members and others in the community.

To protect your child's health, be sure your daycare provider promotes sound hygiene, including frequent hand washing or use of alcohol-based hand sanitizers. Ask whether the children are required to wash their hands several times a day — not just before meals. And make sure the sink is low enough for children to use, or that it has a stool underneath so that children can reach it. Note, too, whether diapering areas are cleaned after each use and whether eating and diapering areas are well separated.
A simple way to stay healthy

Hand washing doesn't take much time or effort, but it offers great rewards in terms of preventing illness. Resolve today to adopt this simple habit as a way to help protect your health.

The Complete Pubococcygeus Muscle Or PC Workout

I'm a big believer in foreplay, but enough is
enough. It's time to get started. In this chapter you are
going to learn the first set of simple exercises that will set
the stage for taking control of your sexuality the way you
have always imagined. Mastering them is the crucial first
step on the path to a lifetime of pleasure and power as a
multiorgasmic male. The following three exercises are the
most important exercises in the book. Please take them
very seriously. It is important to take your time, follow my
instructions carefully, and try to be very thorough.
Unlike many of the exercises that follow, this first
set of exercises is most easily accomplished on your own.
If you have a partner who is waiting to work with you, let
her know you'll be ready for her soon. You just need to
prepare a few things. This should heighten her anticipation
and make her all the more enthusiastic when it's time for
her to join in.
So . . . let the games begin. Enjoy yourself! And
don't forget: PC power is ultimate power.


Exercise 1: Hide and Seek

The very first thing you need to do is find your
PC muscle. For some men this is very simple-you probably
knew where to find it the moment I mentioned it. You may
even be squeezing it right now.
But many men are completely unfamiliar with the
muscles in this area of the body. All of the individual
muscles close to the groin-buttocks, abdomen, thighs, and
PC-may feel the same. They might all feel like one big
muscle mass. That needs to change right now. Here is the
simplest way to find your PC muscle and isolate it from all
the others.


First, gently place one or two fingers right behind your testicles. Pretend that you are urinating. Now try to stop the flow. That muscle you just used to turn off the flow from the bladder is your PC muscle. Did you feel it tightening? Maybe you also noticed that your penis and testicles "jumped" a little when you flexed your PC. It is very important that your stomach muscles and thigh muscles remain relaxed. Did they get tense too? Try again. This time focus just on the PC.

TROUBLESHOOTING TIP; You are not trying to get an erection here, and you do not need an erection to exercise the PC. So relax, and let your penis respond naturally to these exercises.

Exercise 2: Squeeze Play (three to five minutes a day)

Now that you've found your PC muscle, here is your next exercise: Three times a day, flex the PC twenty times. Hold it for one or two seconds each time, then release. That's it. Twenty squeezes, three times a day. I know it sounds simple, but words cannot express how important this exercise is. You do not need to keep your finger on the PC during these exercises. You should be able to feel it move internally. If you don't, or if you're not sure, then keep your finger on the PC the first few times you do your exercises. Breathe normally during this exercise. Like any other muscle-building exercise, proper breathing is always important. You don't want to hold your breath. I want you to repeat this exercise three times a day, every day, for three weeks. A consistent exercise regimen is the most effective way to maximize the strengthening of your PC muscle in the shortest amount of time. And it's worth every moment.

ROAD TRIP

I know this sounds like a commercial, but these PC exercises are easy and can be done anywhere-in the car, at the beach, or while sitting at your desk. But men do tell me that prepping the PC is a lot of fun. Now that you've isolated your PC muscle and learned how to squeeze, you might want to take your act on the road. Of course, you may prefer to keep your exercise regimen safe at home, but you have many options.

TWO PC PITFALLS

These exercises are not hard, but there are two common mistakes men make when they start these exercises that you need to be aware of before we go any further:
MISTAKE 1: Doing too many reps. I know you're feeling very enthusiastic right now, but there is such a thing as overdoing it. The PC muscle can get sore like any other muscle. You may have already discovered this on your own. Go slow at first, as you would when you start any other exercise for the first time, and let the muscle build. You can pour it on later.

MISTAKE 2: Failing to isolate the PC. The PC is a small group of muscles, which need to be isolated from the many larger muscles close by during your exercises. As I said before, it is important that your stomach, upper thighs, and buttocks are all completely relaxed when you are working out the PC. They should not be moving.

Are you having difficulty isolating the PC from other muscles? Many men have this problem when they try these exercises for the first time. Not to worry. If you can't stop yourself from tensing other muscles during your PC exercises, you simply need to exhaust these muscles first so they don't interfere with your new exercise regimen. Let's say you have a tendency to tense your stomach muscles during your PC workout. What you need to do is tense and untense your stomach muscles at least ten or twenty times before you begin your PC exercises. That should tire them out enough so they don't get in the way. The same applies for buttock, thigh, and groin muscles. If you have to work these muscles really hard before you get to work on your PC, that's okay. Do thirty or forty reps if twenty isn't enough. This may sound like a lot of work, but you're not going to have to do this for the rest of your life-just for a couple of days. Once you have really isolated your PC, your muscle "confusion" should dissolve, leaving you free to devote your full attention to working the program. With that in mind, let us now return to our regularly scheduled program, already in progress.

Exercise 3: The Big Squeeze (two to three minutes a day)

Have you done your reps three times a day for the last three weeks? Good. Now you're ready to learn what I call "The Big Squeeze" (a.k.a. "The Power Squeeze" or "The Death Grip"). I want you to keep doing your twenty quick squeezes, three times a day. But now you're going to add ten really slow squeezes. This is what you do. Take five seconds to slowly squeeze your PC as tight as you can. Now hold the tension for a full five seconds, if possible. Finally, release the tension gradually over the next five seconds. You should be able to feel yourself really working the muscle. This might be a bit difficult at first. You may only be able to do one or two fifteen-second squeezes before you tire. That's okay. But try to eventually work up to ten full repetitions, each taking ten to fifteen seconds. It may take you a few days, or even a few weeks, to get there. That's okay. It's more important that you don't push yourself too hard. You're not training to be an American Gladiator. Just enjoy the process and keep squeezing.

Meet Early and Meet Often

The PC workout is like any other workout. The harder you work, the faster and more impressive the results. The great thing about the PC is that, unlike some muscles, it responds so quickly to being exercised. No matter how intense or casual your workout is, you won't have to spend months and months before you notice a difference, As you will soon see, the PC workout brings immediate gratification. Still, you need to be thorough. There are several steps to becoming multiorgasmic, but building up the PC is the crucial first step. Don't give it short shrift. There are no deadlines here.

The most important thing is to get the job done.

Take it one step at a time and take your time on every step. Meanwhile, that will give us some time to talk a little bit more about the miracle of male multiple orgasm.
